This Saturday sees rugby return to Stocksfield for the first time since the comprehensive victory over Jarrovians on the 5th October, as South Shields make the journey north. It has been two seasons since both sides met, with South Shields winning the last meeting at Kingston Park on their way to the DN3 title. This season sees South Shields sitting in 11th place having won 1 of their seven games so far. Despite this, they have been competitive in the majority and will be a tough test for P&S.

Another large squad is available to Coach Russell despite both Steven Henderson and Luke Masters away. This has resulted in a backline shuffle with Chris Patterson moving to occupy the 10 jersey and Chris Nicholls moving to 9. James Bradshaw and Danny Whiley form a quick looking centre partnership and Nathan Moore will start on the wing for his season’s debut. In the pack, a front row contingent of 6 will look to dominate the set piece and the returning Brogan Millar adds a combative edge to the back row.
