This Saturday sees P&S host Newton Aycliffe at Stocksfield Sports club in the first home game of the new year.
This week the match has been kindly sponsored by Capheaton Tea room. A very popular, weekend opening tearoom in rural Northumberland. Please check out their website here: Capheaton Tea Room
Following from last weeks close 17-14 defeat at Yarm RFC, P&S welcome a Newton Aycliffe side sitting just above ourselves in 6th position. In the previous meeting between the sides, the visitors won an entertaining game 44-38 where plenty of attacking intent was on display.
P&S have named a strong squad of 20 with Andy Marsh and Dan Tate returning to boost the front row options and new signing Kieran Taylor will be looking to make an impact on his home debut. Alex Fitton returns having missed last week which should allow Rob Reid to move back to his natural back row position.
In the backline, last weeks Man of the Match Joe Hughes is available and will start at 12 hoping to have a similar impact on the game. Tom Burges-Lumsden returns after spending Christmas away however, Jonny Nevin is absent, allowing Danny Whiley the opportunity to start at Fullback.
Kick off is at 2.15 and again any support would be greatly appreciated.
