Despite the Ireland vs Italy game succumbing to the Coronavirus scare, thankfully rugby returns to Stocksfield as we welcome Richmondshire RUFC in the next round of DN 3. This week’s fixture has been kindly sponsored by Capheaton Tearoom. We thank you for your continued support and we’re proud to be part of your monthly magazine! Please take a look at their website: Capheaton Tea Room
Earlier in the season, P&S conceded two tries in the last 10 minutes to lose 29-28 and will be out for revenge. The visitors have had a tough campaign, currently sitting in 10th position having won 3 games this season. In their most recent outing they narrowly lost away at TDSOB 20-17.
P&S name a strong squad for the match after the enforced break last week, giving coach Russell some selection headaches. In the pack, Stephen Armstrong will now be missing for the foreseeable future allowing Will Foster, Ryan Chamberlain and Adam Murphy to continue their successful partnership. They will be supported by Alex Fitton and Dave Rodgers with Jonny Kelly available after a strong performance in training. Again, Yannick Debil faces a late fitness test due to an ongoing groin injury.
In the back line, the established link of Patterson and Henderson continue at 9 and 10 with Luke Masters donning the 13 shirt. Joe Hughes is available, giving a plethora of options for the 12 shirt. Elsewhere Raj Kingman, brothers Chris and Gareth Nicholls and Matty Nevin complete the impressive looking squad.
Kick off is at 2.15 and as always any support would be greatly appreciated.
