Pulborough started strongly catching the kick off and setting up a ruck before the ball was moved to stand in centre Harry Scrase who crashed through a number of tackles and ran half the length of the pitch to score within the first minutes. This was converted by flyhalf George Lee to give a 0-7 lead. This was followed on 3 minutes with winger Sean Auhammer, who had an excellent game, running in the second try in the corner to give a 0-12 lead. Pulborough then switched off and some wayward passing allowed Hove to intercept and move down the pitch to score an unconverted try on 9 minutes. Pulborough responded immediately with fullback Eddie Miller taking responsibility and cutting through the Hove team to score a converted try only 1 minute later.
Pulborough then tried to over complicate things when a simple game plan was needed on the heavy pitch and it took another period of time before Jacob Temple crashed over from close range to score. This was followed on the stroke of half time by a second Jacob Temple try to give a 5-29 half time lead.
The Pulborough forwards where playing really well in the difficult conditions winning all their own ball at scrum and lineout with Ben Kidner particularly effective at the front of the lineout winning most of the Hove ball with support from Joshua Hamlet and Charlie Williams. Pulborough started the second half strongly with winger Charlie Treasure going in for a try on 3 minutes. Hove then came back into the game for a period and Pulborough had to defend. Hove were then rewarded for their attacking efforts after 12 minutes when they scored their second try to trail 10-34. This spurred Pulborough back into attack mode and Charlie Treasure completed his hat trick with tries on 20 & 32 minutes to give a final score line of 10-44.
