The Pulborough U7s Mini-Rugby programme is a fun, non-contact & safe tag introduction to Rugby that emphasises maximum enjoyment for players and parents. We welcome any new players whether new to the game, graduating from Rugby Tots or just starting to play at school.

If you are in Year 2 at school we would love to see you at PRFC. We have players joining us from around the local area including Storrington, West Chiltington, Thakeham, Petworth, Billingshurst and Wisborough Green.

We offer children a fun introduction to Rugby in an enjoyable and safe environment with sessions run by our coaches who have also been DBS checked. We focus on fun and enjoyable sessions that consist of games (not just Rugby but great fun games like Raid The Nest, Stuck in the Mud and the famous Sharky Sharky), training exercises to learn the game of rugby and to help develop skills and fitness work.

Some skills and Rugby values they will learn and improve include:

• Catching/passing
• Running with the ball
• Tagging/defense
• Game play
• Respect for team mates and referees

Rugby is an excellent sport to start from the Reception year because it is suitable for all children (both boys and girls), it teaches children great Rugby values like team work and discipline. Most of all it is a great outlet for letting off steam and to have FUN.

Training takes place at Pulborough RFC from 09:30am to 10:30am on Sundays from 3rd September to May for the 2023/24 season
