Pulborough hosted the match on a sunny afternoon, and welcomed back Emma and Grace both who had been out with injuries since early season. Both teams were hungry for the game which was played at a furious pace.
Pulborough took the initiative and with some great handling and offloads scored 2 tries. As the first half wore on Sutton & Epsom increased there intensity and some good straight running lines close the the Pulborough line resulted in 2 converted tries. The first half finished 12 v 14.
Pulborough playing up the slight slope found their stride and moving the ball quickly from side to side created space in the centre for a break and score, which was converted. Further attacks saw Pulborough score wide out to open up a slender lead.
Sutton & Epsom continued to press and from a tap penalty close to the Pulborough line were able to muscle over and score their 3rd try.
The game is ebbed and flowed with Pulborough unable to convert further chances, the final whistle Pulborough U18 girls came away with a narrow win of 24 v 19.
It was a game full of entertainment and high skills from both sets of girls cheered on by a small yet vocal crowd, thanks to Sutton & Epsom RFC for an exciting game and good luck to you for the rest of the season.
