Puttenham went into their 3rd pre season game looking to take the positives from Wednesdays game. A few enforced changes saw Richard Turnidge start at right back with Daniel Gauld starting right wing and Dan Zubiena coming in to the fill the attacking midfield role.
A really slow start to the game saw Puttenham keep giving the ball away and becoming their own worst enemies. Too many Mis placed passes and too many touches was inviting pressure.
North camp trying to get the forwards in behind but a well drilled back line was winning the offside battle.
After 15 minutes Puttenham started finding their feet and began to play some nice stuff. Craig Gapper and Chris Stevens really dictating play and Puttenham had a firm foot hold in the game, pattern of play much the same as Wednesdays game but this week the boys were able to follow it up with some better finishing.
The deadlock was broken after 20 minutes after some good pressure from the front line and Ben Traverso getting his reward after forcing the keeper into a mistake was able to slot home.
1 quickly became 2 after a shot from the edge of the box was handled inside the box. Scott Acton cooly slotting home the pen into the side netting.
Puttenham were now very much on top, winning all their individual battles and playing some good football. Some neat passing between defence and midfield saw Richard Turnidge's ball over the top and again Ben Traverso forcing the backline into a mistake and with his shot heading for the net the defender handled on the line. If it wasn't a friendly would of certainly been a red card.
This time Daniel Gauld stepped up with the same outcome and rifled the ball into the net.
3-0 and half time.
Second half began slow but after some decent work in the attacking third the second half sub Steven Lewis picked the ball up about 25 yards out open his body and his shot taking a horrible bounce off the turf and ending up in the top corner.
Puttenham carried on in the same vein, having a lot more possession of the ball and with the defence and midfield comfortable the attackers were causing all kinds of trouble.
4 became 5 after Daniel Gauld saw the keeper off is line and from
25/30 yards lobbed the keeper and found the top corner. One hell of a finish if he meant it!
Puttenham then completed their scoring for the day, some good work down the left saw the ball fall to Terral Allen in the box and the big man got a well deserved goal for his efforts and slotted home.
There was a consolation for north camp, after a good tackle on the half way line from Steve Lewis the ball running straight into north camps wingers path and he slotted home.
A good game for Puttenham all in all. Performances improving with every game. 6 goals and 5 different scorers, a good mornings work.
