Puttenham got their season up and running at the second attempt with a convincing 4-1 win at home to Bakers Arms.
The same 11 started from last week but again started with a sluggish 20 minutes which was compounded after 8 minutes. A long range effort from the away side saw the ball find the net after catching Paul Ezzard off his line.
Again Puttenham struggled to find their passing rhythm in the game and were conceding possession far too easily.
Bakers Arms nearly made it 2 half way through the half but a good stop from Ezzard kept that at bay.
Puttenham did start to grow into the half and got a much needed goal with 5 minutes of the half remaining. Daniel Gauld's free kick being toe poked over the line from Karl Walton. A deserved goal after a decent half from Karl.
Half time 1-1.
Introductions of jimmy, Ben T and Ollie at half time, and a half time rollocking saw the lads start playing a lot better. Using the ball through the lines and dominating play a lot better.
Jimmy's deliveries from corners were causing a lot of trouble for the away side and Puttenham eventually broke the away team down after some confusion in the box, Chris Stevens headed home.
2 quickly became 3. Again Chris Stevens reacting the quickest to head home from 5 yards out after a good long throw from Ollie was won well by Terral and Chrissy nodded home.
Puttenham quickly put the game to bed and made it 4 after Jimmy finished well into the corner.
In truth Puttenham should really of added another 2 or 3. With the away side more keen on losing their heads than attacking.
1 red card and 2 sinbins but Puttenham kept their heads and saw the game out to get the first win of the season.
