Improvements at Waterwells Sports Centre continue. Quedgeley Wanderers FC and Quedgeley Town Council have worked in partnership for the benefit of Waterwells Sports Centre and the local community many times over the years and once again the partnership has proved successful.

For many years floodlights for the main pitch has been in the Club’s development plan. Following a successful building application submitted by Crest Nicholson Homes Limited (who originally donated the land for sports facilities), a financial contribution was negotiated towards formal sports at the site. Quedgeley Wanderers secured the funding for the floodlights and obtained quotations from suppliers. Quedgeley Town Council managed the planning application with both the interests of the football club and local community in mind.

Musco Lighting, an international company with vast experience in the USA, UK and numerous countries around the world, were selected to supply and install the system. Once completed Waterwells will join an impressive long list of facilities including Old Trafford, Emirates Stadium, Hampden Park, Twickenham and Wimbledon with Musco Lighting.

The introduction of the floodlights will allow the club to continue with their development path in providing grassroots football to the local community at the highest level possible with some of the best pitches and facilities in the area.

Quedgeley Wanderers FC looks forward to working in partnership with Quedgeley Town Council again on future projects to continue improving facilities that the community can be proud of.
