Reserves bounce back at Wotton

Quedgeley bounced back in style from last weeks defeat to comfortably beat wotton away from home.

Another 40 minute drive away to Wotton was rewarded with one of the best footballing performances of the season. Quedgeley played the ball on the floor throughout most of the match to devastating effect, with the first goal coming in the first minute. A good passing move lead to Chris Gooch playing the ball across the goal for Ethan King to bundle home at the back post.

This settled Quedgeley down however a routine corner from the home side was not dealt with and they equalised midway through the first half. Bu Wanderers replied with a set piece of their own 5 minutes later, Chris Smith’s free kick was headed into the top corner by Will Park on his first start of the season.

The second half was very much the same as the first; Wanderers defended stubbornly and created many chances at the other end with Scott Edwards and Chris Gooch looking dangerous. The game was killed off with 30 minutes to go, Will park played a 1-2 with Scott Edwards before finished into the side netting. And Scott Edwards finished the scoring himself in the final 10 minutes after a through ball was flicked on by Chris Gooch.

Overall it was a brilliant team performance and a great way to comeback after the defeat last week.
