Many thanks to all of our members that attended our End of Season Awards this past weekend, I am sure that you have heard the highlights and know who won what. Orders for footage of my speech have been flattering, however, I can confirm that rumours of it being available on DVD or downloadable via Netflix have been greatly exaggerated! Regrettably, we did not have as many of you there as we had hoped, just so you are aware, we know who you are, where you live & we expect you to be first in line for tickets next year.
Evening training is now going ahead weekly as we make on field preparations for the coming season, the full schedule is below and for those attending sessions please confirm your availability on our website or on the Pitchero App.
Can you all kindly ensure that over the next two weeks you log into our website, check your details are up to date or register if you have not already done so, ensuring that you upload a profile picture? Only through your support and interactions online does our website become a useful tool to entice new members & players to join the best social rugby club out there. More details about events, celebrations and commemorations of our 60th season will be released through our website so to ensure you're not missing anything get yourself online.
May I take this opportunity to welcome the new Management Committee and Jamie Baptiste, Andy Coles & Sam "Thrush" Williams to their new roles. If you have any comments, suggestions or things you want to be considered for the club please do not hesitate to contact the committee, either as a whole via email to email@example.com or individually to any officer.
Thank you to our outgoing committee members, Dev Anand , Dave Bealing & Tony Downing for their service to our club.
Moving in to the clubs 7th decade, and to ensure the club has many more thereafter, we are looking to our current membership to spread the word even further than you have done previously. Efforts to recruit independently of our family, our Full Kit W@#ker Walk etc, will continue, however, if you track where we came from & how we were introduced to RDRFC it is through the Decca family for the majority. Numbers have been spectacularly low in season 2018-19 both on and off the field so I implore all of you make yourselves available for more games whether playing or supporting, for more off the pitch events and please forward any thoughts you have on how we can grow our club to the Management Committee.
Together we can make our club even better than it already is.
