“Good…… Just as long as we’re all in agreement” …. With a flash of blue lightning, Mjolnir suddenly appeared, closely followed by storm breaker

In what has become a very contrasting season. Racal Decca returned for a home clash against top of the table Mitcham and Carshalton.
The boys in blue and Mitcham observed a minute silence at the start of the game in remembrance of the former captain (and player) Steve Filgate who sadly passed earlier in the week. Steve Filgate captained Racal Decca from 1997 to 2000. He will be sorely missed.

Mitcham and Carshalton opened the scoring through their flyhalf. Waltzing through the incoming traffic like a fox who is a single mother with nine lives, running back to feed her brood pests after a night out on the town. The decca press relented and the first try was scored and converted.
The opposition was now lured into a false sense of security. A fake dawn had risen on already scorched and parched earth – The unremitting beat of the drums, the feeling in your heart. The beast had awoken from what was a delectable slumber.
Unfortunately, Mitcham and Carshalton came with a scrum that was paying more dividends than a conservatory backed scheme to sell off the NHS to trump and amazon. Racal Decca were being shoved off the scrum – which led to penalties kicked by their flyhalf for territory.
Racal Decca finally gained some composure and moved through rampart fortification with expert precision. Benny boy Taylor peeled off the back of the scrum to set up some field position. Smallfeet Quincey fed the pass to Robert, who shovelled ball to S-Molloy who feigned a pass behind French Binns to German Larz score the home team’s first try – Woody missed the conversion.

“Even a stopped cock right twice a day….” The assumption here is that it is an analogue wall ticking clock, because a digital clock displaying 24 hour format is not right twice a day. With that said, Racal Decca pounced on the confusion and doubled their lead through NFL-Tim – Eddy Ben Arous staking his claim to become the latest centre convert found himself some space with some brilliant phase play from IronMan-Nobby, Welsh-Harri, and Young Ash… Eddy fed NFL-Tim who dotted down in the far corner – conversion missed.
At the break, the teams were drawn level with Mitcham and Carshalton knocking over a penalty and their solitary converted try.
Donny came on at half time for Young Ash in attempt to bolster the pack and give a bit more stability in the scrums.
Racal Decca’s defence was formidable at times…. However, to often than not, the home side continued to rack up an unsurmountable penalty count between the 22 and the 10m line. There was one culprit… - he who shall not be named.
The home team did manage to score again putting themselves 3 tries up against the solitary Mitcham and Carshalton try. However, penalties once again halted any progression and gave the home team clear daylight for the victory…. – The culprit – who will be named….
