Radley Village Cricket Club can trace it history back to the early 1920's when it started fielding teams for friendly matches. In 1998 it was decided that to further develop the club a team would be entered into a local league, run by the Oxfordshire Cricket Association. The club started with one team, playing in division 4 of the league. After a steady start, the club suffered from loss of players and was relegated to division 5 in 2001. However, the club bounced back, with new blood being added, and was promoted from division 5 as champions in 2003. This was followed by promotion to division 3 in 2006.

In 2008, the club started a second eleven, joining the league in division 11. After only two years, the seconds were promoted to division 10 at champions in 2009. Unfortunately, in that same year the first team were relegated and are now back in division 4. 2010 saw both teams finishing mid-table in their respective divisions. 2011 saw the 1st XI finish as runners up and gain promotion to division 3, however the 2nd XI went one better and won division 10 and gained promotion to division 9.

All home games are played at Radley College, which is considered to be one of the best pitches played on in the league. The club is pleased to have a number of masters and pupils of the College on the playing list and has had great support from the College over many years.

Over the years, the club has seen a number of individual successes, including two winners of the annual award for best bowler in the league.

Today we are striving to be a club focused on enjoyment for all talents, ages and allowing the growth of new and current alike. We aim to be a community club that can cater for players and partners alike. If you feel you can add to this family of players or benefit from the coaching and team ethic we possess, get in contact.
