The 2007/08 division one season, which started badly and never really improved, was one to forget as far as the Ratts were concerned. Manager Graham Sherrifs took over the managerial reins of the club in the summer of 2007, but left after 4 games.
Early round cup exits and poor league form, summed up by an 8-0 reversal at Banchory in May, saw Rattrays suffer back-to -back relegations, and the prospect of spending the 2008/09 season back in division two.
