Rawcliffe Ravens successfully play their last match of this half of the seaon - at the second attempt!

Our last game of the first half of the season was upon us (again!) and we arrived at RI raring to go in actually quite mild weather. We had a slight mishap in that Skilly was at Rawcliffe and we were at RI but luckily we had Faye Wilson on the sidelines.

Becky had come straight from a monster shift at the hospital but you couldn't tell and we had the debut of one of the WA's that we have playing for us - Katie Aconley! (we will still be asking Vix and Alice though too!)

We started off well and had managed to convert the chances we had but Yorvik came back after picking off some of our passes. We started to make a few errors and just not quite passing into the correct space meaning passes were intercepted by the tall Yorvik GD. We managed to go into the quarter break leading 11-8. We gave ourselves a good talking and Faye did too. We needed to play smarter and ensure passing was accurate!

Passing was a lot smarter and the defence of Hannah and Charlotte were once again stifling and limited the Yorvik shooters to only 3 goals in the quarter.  Becky was just getting started with her epic shooting and so we thought it would be fun to try and pass to her whilst she had a millimetre of space on the backline - she got all but one I think!

Once Jodie got into her stride about re-offering she was flying and Katie Edson was just being her usual self of here, there and everywhere (and on the floor at one point).

Katie and Katie were combining well in attack and were feeding the shooters brilliantly. With seconds to go we were on 59 goals and Becky slotted the 60th goal with seconds to spare!

Rawcliffe won the game 60-27 after a brilliant effort by all on court.

Thank you to Katie for playing seamlessly at WA and to Faye for scoring and coming onto play WA for the last 20 seconds of the game.

Player of the Match was our Dynamo Centre Katie Edson.
