Rob Hodgson (Manager)
After a long-playing career in senior football Rob took his first player-manager role at Hullbridge Sports, At Hullbridge the team had successful runs in the FA cup and the clubs best ever FA Vase run
After eight years at Hullbridge, Rob left and went back to playing, before a challenge came up at Olympian league side Runwell Sports, where the club won promotion to the premier division, after a successful first season in the premier finishing fourth, Rob alongside his coaching staff left to take the vacant Rayleigh Town first team position
In his first season in charge at Rayleigh, Rob won the BBC Essex Saturday premier cup and the Essex Olympian league premier division and promotion to the Thurlow Nunn first division south
In the last two seasons Rob has taken the club to successive play off finals and will now be hoping its third time lucky this season!
Josh Hudson (Goalkeeper)
Young goalkeeper that has gone from strength to strength known for his bravery, focus, and shot stopping ability
Charlie Seadon (Defender)
Has been with Rayleigh Town since 2018, Right sided defender that likes to showcase both his defensive and offensive attributes during matches
Matt Bumpus (Defender)
Tough tackling commanding defender that was a big part of last seasons success
Jake Pryke (Defender)
Left back that moved up from the reserves and took his chance, went on to make 19 appearances in his breakthrough season
Lewis Risk (Defender)
The left back joined us in the summer of 24 after having spells with Redbridge, Ilford, and Hullbridge Sports
Matt Oaten (Defender)
An intelligent and technically gifted full back who can play either side of the defensive line, also represents the England deaf national football team
James Sweetman (Defender)
A reliable central defender who is dominant in the air and able to read and break up play
Ollie Quick (Defender)
Returning to the club he played for in youth football in the summer of 23, a rock in the centre of defence, was out for the majority of last season’s games with a knee injury

Left sided defender that reads the game well and is cool and composed on the ball previous clubs include Tilbury F.C. & Hullbridge Sports

Excellent left back that likes to get forward when play allows
Michael Ogunoye (Defender)
Right sided central defender that can also play the holding midfield role joined Rayleigh in August 25 has previously played for Barking Abbey
Joe Olley (Midfield)
Experienced midfielder that brings energy and drive to the team a leader both on and off the pitch
Cameron Sutherland (Defender/ Midfield)
Right sided central defender that can also play in midfield joined Rayleigh in December 25 and became a mainstay in the side for second half of the season
Ben Baxter (Defender/Midfield)
Exciting young player that can play in defence or midfield on the right hand side of the park Was named captain for the majority of last season’s games

Defensive midfield player with an impressive ability to breakdown play and regain possession

Pat Mills (Midfield)
Currently Rayleigh Towns longest serving player, a versatile tough tackling defensive midfielder that has a great passing range, and can also play in defence
Charlie Little (Midfield)
Able to play in both, defence and attacking roles on either side of the pitch, make this hugely versatile player an important part of the squad
Arnold Acheampong (Midfield)
Exciting player to watch with lightning pace, is a constant threat going forward, can play on either side of the pitch likes to drive at defences and provides both goals and assists for the team

Adam Wright (Midfield)
Adam was part of Rayleigh Towns double winning squad from the 23/24 season, he left in the summer of 24 to join Essex senior league side Hullbridge Sports but rejoined Rayleigh in November 2024
Dylan Jones (Striker)
Joined Rayleigh from fellow Thurlow Nunn first division side Basildon Town in August 2025 an energetic forward that gets goals and assists for fun a great addition to the team was last seasons top scorer
Louie Watkins (Striker)
Young promising goal scorer that will do well in football has maturity beyond his years and certainly knows where the net is, scored on his debut for Rayleigh Town
Owen Barratt (Striker)
Young striker that can play anywhere in midfield or in the forward line, likes to drive at the defensive line and grab an assist or a goal for himself
Jimmy Dalton (Striker)
Operates in either the ten or upfront in the nine loves playing a well weighted through ball
