Dear 200 Club Member,

Congratulations to those winners.
We held the “big” draw on the day of the Minis Presentation and the Memorial Match. There was £1000 in prizes and Rupert Newson did the draw for us.
The winners were :
April 2018
£500 – Number 101 – Steve Smith
£250 – Number 26 – Alan Bright
£100 – Number 32 – Roger Pearson
£100 – Number 8 – Yasmin Miller
£50 – Number 193 – Justin Wheeler.
Congratulations to these winners.
The memorial day was a chance to catch up with old friends and to watch an entertaining match
Result : Blues 86 Yellows 53. Man of the Match was Lewis Bowers – known as Luigi. There were a lot of contenders but Luigi was rightly named m of m.
The 200 Club had 178 members in the last draw, unfortunately a number of the cash payers didn’t re-join but Matt Bayliss-Binks did an excellent recruitment job on the Girls’ parents last weekend. The biggest problem we have is the bank not accepting the standing order for some reason. If you re-join, please make sure that your signature is good and that you initial any amendments. Thank you.
The AGM was held last night and it saw the elevation of Stuart Spindler from 200 Club Salesman to Chairman of the Club. Congratulations to him and we wish him every success.
Ian Cameron-Webb remains as El Presidente and we wish him the very best as he takes the role for another year.
The RRFC Executive requested some funding from the 200 Club and our committee approved the purchase of some new tables for the main hall. Also some vital equipment for Andy Silvey and his team to maintain the pitches and grounds in their very good state.
If you know someone who is in charge of a section of the Rugby Club, now is the time to start thinking how the 200 Club can help you to afford your requirements for next season. We welcome requests from all sections of the club but they need to go through the Executive committee for prioritising. We want to help as many groups as possible to get those little extras that could make a difference. The 200 Club doesn’t fund the cake but it does the Icing on the Cake. The next 200 Club Committee meeting is Thursday July 5th so get your requests in by then and they can be ordered in time for the new season.
Thanks to all the new members who have joined the 200 Club, the Rugby Club is appreciative of our funding and thanks to all the members who now support the 200 Club.
Best wishes for a good Summer,
Graham
