17. 200 Club Newsletter 10, November 2017.

Dear 200 Club Members,
Welcome to the November Newsletter. It was really good to see so many of you at Ian Cameron-Webb’s VP lunch last Saturday. I’m sure that all the RRFC members had a great day out with the 1st XV putting on their best performance for quite a while to beat our local rivals Abbey by 46 – 10. The team came out in the most determined fashion that we have seen for a long time and soon had Abbey on the ropes. It all just came together for the team and they really deserved their victory. Well done to the team and thanks for a great performance.
We had the draw for the October prizes at the lunch and we had £1000 in prizes to be won.
The winners were :
£500 – Richard Angell – Former player, Mini/Junior Parent
£250 – Mark Lilley – The Rhino’s Captain 2017-18
£100 – Colin Sharp – Former Senior Player, Senior Rugby Administrator
£100 – Matt Bayliss-Binks from the Junior Girls Coaching Staff
£50 – Bob Pendleton – Former 1st XV player, Fixture Secretary
Congratulations to them on winning and if Richard and Colin want to give me an up to date address then I will post their winnings to them.
Also Marc McAdden, who won £25 last month, wants to send me his address I will send his £25 cheque to him.
The 200 Club committee also recruited some more members over the weekend and thank you to the new members for joining the 200 Club.
We have now issued number 171, although there are a few earlier numbers to fill in, so we are well on the way to achieving our target of 200 members by the new year. This will mean that the new committee, who took over on Jan 1st 2017, will have increased the membership from 55 to 200. Well done to Phil Wilson, Yasmin Miller, Mike Brooks, Stuart Spindler, Matt Bayliss-Binks and Mac Coveney for all their efforts on behalf of RRFC.
If you are a “Cash” member, you will receive a new application form and a letter reminding you that your membership will be expiring. We would prefer it, when you re-join, if you felt able to sign up for a standing order. This will mean that we won’t have to write to you every year to re-join. Thank you in advance for this.
The 200 Club Committee will be at the Sunday morning sessions for Minis and Juniors over the next few weeks. If you are a parent and have joined the 200 Club then please try to get your friends to join. Remember 50% of the money raised goes back into the Club to help buy the “extras” and 50% is given out in prizes. Thanks to the Mini/Junior parents and coaches who have joined.
Finally this month, we are arranging a Buffet Lunch for the 200 Club members. It will be on February 17th before the 1st XV match against Wallingford. Please try to attend and put the date in your diary now so that we have a good crowd of 200 Supporters for the 1st XV.
Keep supporting the first team and good luck in the future draws.
