20. 200 Club Newsletter 8, Sept 2017

Welcome 200 Club Members to your latest newsletter. Note our new logo and if you come to the Club, you will see our 200 Club banner, 200 Club notice boards at the entrance to the Club and by the bar and a reminder of the 200 Club on the TV.

We have recruited Matt Bayliss-Binks from the Junior section to help us to sell memberships to his section but we still need someone involved with the Mini section to promote membership to them.
Important items first, the winners for August are :
£100 – Bob Greedy, a new 200 Club member in his first draw and Bob is a Walking Rugby player.
£50 – Mark Hartigan, a former Rhino and speedy centre and
£25 – Luke Titley, a 1st XV player on his way back to the team after injury.

I’m sure that lots of you know that the 1st XV were relegated last season and are in a new league, Southern Counties North, with many new teams to play against. Ben Wills, our new coach and his squad will be determined to go for promotion and return us to SW1. We wish them the very best of fortune as they take on these new teams and some familiar ones.

Come and support your 1st XV, your new coaching team and the Club by coming to as many matches as you can. We need everyone’s help to strengthen the club but most importantly come and meet up with your friends and old team mates. Arrange some dates with your friends at the start of the season when you are going to watch.

We will try to arrange a 200 Club lunch on one of the spare home games and will let you know through your newsletter.

We have helped the Club as you saw last month but we still need about 40 new memberships to hit our 200 target. If we have our full 200 members we could give £6000 to the Club and £6000 in prizes. Thank you to all of you who have joined during this year and you can see that we are able to help many sections of the club as well as give out £3750 in prize money by the end of the year.

Don’t forget that October will see the 200 Club give out £1000 in prize money, £500, £250, £100. £100 and £50. What about a second membership … or 3rd ……..
Enjoy the new Rugby Season, wherever you watch,

Best wishes,

Graham and the 200 Club Committee
