Welcome to the U18s Girls

A vibrant and highly successful girls section for girls aged 15 - 18 (yr 11 - 13).

The Under 18's section is the flag ship of the Reading Girls rugby program and offers a fun, friendly and inclusive environment but in a more professional and competitive setting for girls who wish to develop their rugby game. We welcome all players whether existing or new, providing a player centric ethos that works to engage all girls in the game of rugby what ever their level.

We offer an outstanding coaching environment with coaches who are passionate about the development of the girls game and who bring a wealth of knowledge to provide the very best experience for each and every player. Lead by Head Coach Andy Gallagher, he is closely supported by Abbi Burton (current Wasps and England 7's), Terry McNaney and Colin Gingell.

While some girls will go on to play for Premier and Championship teams, for most they will join our own Reading Kites (ladies) or other local ladies or University teams where they continue to enjoy their rugby journey. Girls from Reading are also provided further opportunities to represent their County, become part of an U18 Centre of Excellence program such as Wasps FC and a number have gone on to represent their country at both youth and Senior levels.

We welcome all new comers to the game and offer trial sessions for those that feel they may interested in joining the Girls rugby revolution.

We currently train on the following days

Mondays - 6.30pm - 7.30pm - Strength & Conditioning
Wednesdays - 6.15pm - 7.30pm
Sundays - 1pm to 2:15pm. (Sundays are also match days)
