After starting the game well with extended periods of pressure, the lads were only 0-6 in front thanks to a pair of converted penalty kicks from captain Lloyd Thomas when minute 20 had been played. After some miscommunication in midfield, Wallingford's no.7 walked between the posts for an easy score which was converted to give the hosts a 7-6 lead with 5 minutes left in the 1st half. With a succession of dominate scrums 5 yards from the try-line, the forwards won a penalty which was quickly tapped resulting in a try by scrumhalf Toby Jessop (L Thomas adding the conversion).
The 2nd half was a much more tighter affair with both sides putting in some big hits and carries, After a great run from lock Dan Dawson (which included a couple of spins the late, great king of pop Michael Jackson would've been proud of!) he was held up over the line (he is adamant he scored haha) another dominate scrum resulted in replacement no.8 Tim Hill diving over the line (again converted by L Thomas).
