A spirited Vikings go down with a fight!!

A nervous and dis-jointed first 40 minutes from the Vikings, meant the teams went it all square at the half. The 10 -15 minute period after the re-start was what lost us the game, conceding 5 tries and a couple came from individual mistakes.

But we finished the stronger side with the best 2 scores of the game. Firstly, Jack Hughes on his debut scored a cracking solo effort from inside his own half. A lovely dummy on the fullback and he stretched his legs, diving over the whitewash. Not to be out-shown, flyhalf Dominic Finn produced a similar effort this time straight from the kick off. He weaved through the Witney players and showed some surprising gas to go under the posts.

In reflection, there were lots of positives taken away from the game and the guys are looking forward to a couple of hard weeks training in preparation for our next game away against our rivals - Reading Abbey on the 29/09.
