Snakes in the LONG GRASS indeed!

1st Quarter
Round 10 saw the Rebels against an undermanned Blues side. Thanks to some inspiring words before the first bounce from stand in coach Hodor the boys asserted their dominance by winning the stoppages 13 - 1 in the first quarter. Despite Philthy taking multiple intercept marks for the Blues, Henry was able to break away and kick a nice running goal for the rebels first goal of the quarter. Ali was relishing in his new found opportunities finding plenty of the ball. Local Hero Bridge was also finding plenty of the ball for the Blues in the first quarter. With 5 seconds to go in the first quarter Buddy kicked truly and put the Rebels up 4.6 to 0.1

2nd Quarter
The Second quarter began before Bodz had even woken up in his cottage… The Blues however looked wide awake at the beginning of the second winning the first 4 clearances and having repeat forward 50 entries. The Rebels were able to absorb the pressure and then assert it back onto the blues through the middle stage of the quarter. Scoring proved difficult until the veteran Fab’s got the tap on the shoulder to enter to the game for the first time.. Fab’s with a club record 7 inside 50’s in a quarter was able to link up with Hands and Browny for the Rebels first of the quarter. Philthy who forgot he was playing for the Blues kicked straight to Swanny from kick out was soon playing goal umpire as Swanny kicked it straight back over his head for a major. Rebels out played the blues in the back half of the quarter having 14 inside 50’s in a row but didn’t hurt them on the score board as much as they could have. Scores at half time were Rebels 7.9 to Blues 0.1

3rd Quarter
The Blues once again started the quarter better having the first couple of inside 50’s. Swanny “The Janitor” was sweeping up everything in the backline and was propelling the ball back inside rebels territory. The Russian assassin Hands was showing the composure of a 200 gamer giving the forwards plenty of good looks. The big Duffman continued his rare form taking a big mark and slotting through his third from the boundary. After the Rebels piled on more goals during the term thanks to Fraser dominating in the ruck, Spencer announced himself as a goal sneak. The Big Man crumbed a ball inside 50, shrugged 3 tackles and snapped the ball over his shoulder kicking ‘goal of the year’. The Rebels were up by 100 points at this stage but the celebration from the dumbest smart man was as if he had kicked the winning goal. There were multiple jaw dropping fist pumps, high 5’s and cries of ‘how good was that!!’ Spencer then announced it was party time kicking another 2 goals which brought the Rebels lead to 13.11 to 0.2 at three quarter time.

4th Quarter
At the three quarter time break Hodor addressed the boys and urged them to keep practising the right habits as we are only playing against ourselves now. Unfortunately for Seany Sexton he took this too literally and actually tackled his own player during the last quarter. The large crowd that was gathered couldn’t believe their eyes.
With the EPL beginning over the weekend Duff “The Fungi” Man soccered a goal off the ground to kick start the rebels. Ali continued his great game finding more of the ball and kicking his first goal. Shally “The Human Glove” who was playing a tagging role on Jimmy didn’t let up all day and poor max left the ground with zero possessions and his tail between his legs.
Duffman and Browny continued to dominate kicking 5 goals each. The Rebels ran out easy winners 21.12 to 0.2
