The Rebels took on the shorthanded Kangaroos team in Round 2. The Roos have been working hard to build back their Mens squad and the Rebels were happy to help out with sharing 8/9 players each half. This allowed the boys to get plenty of game time and play 14 a side, thanks to the Roos for making our boys feel welcomed in your jumper.

Knowing this was going to be a tough challenge the Rebels came out strong and got on the board early. Kid and Jello were showing some great chemistry up front and the likes of Scuba, Browny, Mahi and Wozza were strong in defence. The Rebels kept the scoreboard pressure on the second with a great battle in the midfield between newly married Spence (Spanner) and our very own viking Wade.

At the half, the Rebels did a change over of loaned players to the Roos and this seemed to unsettle the boys. The Roos got on the board and outscored the Rebels for the quarter. Coach Hodes made some changes in the last and the boys steadied through some great work from the duo of Neon and Jordy. The Rebels ran out the game with a handy final margin. Some highlights were first goals to Giant, Satty, Jello and the Kid kicking 1 goal 10!
