Oh the sweet smell of success! After missing out last season to Stokesley, by 1 point, an even younger second team clinched the Conference South title on Saturday 26th March.
It’s great to see kids going out each week, playing a sport they love, and managing to play with a smile on their face. The squad has grown and developed over the season, and after a thumping in our first game in the cup, have fought back on numerous occasions, to salvage points out of losses! They just don't know when they are beaten, and that is how they managed to win the conference. If you look back to the start of the season, we started with 3 straight draws, when the main contenders were winning! The first game we were 4-1 down at half time and drew 4-4. The second game we were 2-0 down at half time, and drew 2-2....we never gave up!
We were always playing catch-up with the top teams, but just kept chipping away at them!
