And the winner was DAVID ELEY!
Back in July 1966 Dave was one of those gentlemen who attended the meeting to gauge interest in re-forming Redditch Rugby Club. Dave never had any illusions about his playing prowess but played in the 2nd game ever, as the promise was that everyone who made themselves available would get a game in the first two weeks.
Dave became 3rd team skipper, excelling at the admin role of the captain rather than the on field glory.
The rest, they say, is history, as Dave has given long and sterling service to both the Rugby and Central Club.
Congratulations from everyone to Dave Eley - a great clubman.
