Gavin Gordon's men scored seven at The New Defence on Monday making it back to back wins in the Combined Counties Premier Division, with a clinical display.
After a tough opening week of the season for the Reds, things are on the up after beating Knaphill they took Horley apart on Derby Day, with Kerry Kedze scoring four, and in truth it could of been more for the Lobsters. Kedze bagged his first of the game on 23 minutes with a good finish, and two minutes later the Reds doubled their lead a slick move was finished off by the impressive Tony Halsey.
Horley though found a way back into the contest on 35 minutes through former Lobster Martin Smith. But the Reds were the better team, and were causing their hosts problems every time they went forward with Kedze, Burford and Halsey at their best. It was Steve Burford who restored the two goal cushion just before the break, finishing well after a superb solo run.
The next goal after interval was always going to be massive, and it was that man Kedze who pretty much wrapped up all three points for the Lobsters with his second and the Reds fourth. Three minutes later he completed his treble from the spot, after winning the penalty himself, 5-1 with 40 minutes to play. The Reds were cruising now and playing some lovely free flowing football, with Ashley Snadden pulling the strings.
It was six on 72 minutes, and another lovely goal at that, a fantastic Charlie Cooke cross found Kedze in the area, his header beating George Hyde in the Horley goal. Sub Tijani Eshilokun put put a real gloss on the result on 80 minutes his goal making it 7-1 at the final whistle making it the perfect away day for the Lobsters!
