Regals win on beautiful Knebworth Park setting

Regals were facing a mixed team from Knebworth Park Cricket Club with 5 girls from Herts County. Regals won the toss and choose to bat on the damp wicket. Initially both openers were cautious as early drop for Raman was indication of tricky wicket and slow outfield. KPCC had tight fielding which didn't allow the openers to take singles / doubles. However openers gave a great start with 76 of 18 when Aryan was stumped immediately followed by Vivaan. Aryan Mittra and Raman built on from there with Raman scoring his second century of the season and Aryan gave his heart out in the last 10 overs to give Regals a fighting score of 187.

Felix provided a ideal start removing the opener on first ball and then trapping the number 3 LBW. Sanjiv from the other end shows what experience is all about keeping a tight line and length thus getting rewarded. Regals iconic spinner Viki did not find his grip to be punished for all the bad balls and the opposition started to build the partnership. Suchen initial bowled spin but was punished and then he switch to medium pace to remove both the set batsman that built a partnership of 138 runs a key turning point in the match. From there on wickets fell at regular intervals. Mohit bowled a tight line didn't get rewarded unfortunately and Yash bowled in death overs to restrict KPCC to 177.

Best Fielder - All though all the players contributed well in the field and there was remarbable effort from Aryan M and Vivaan however the skipper decided not to award the Best fielder as drop chances plus fumbles need to be address so a harsh but lesson learning for COLTS.
