Litherland are coming off the back of a 3-2 loss to high-flying Longridge Town and despite the defeat, there were more encouraging signs from the Merseyside based team, who appear to turning a new leaf towards the end of the season.

The side had plenty of chances to draw or even win that game, with Longridge capitalising on the minimal amount of shots that were afforded to them. It was one of those games were either side could have grabbed the points.

Prior to that match, REMYCA have put in some impressive shifts with a 3-0 win against Congleton Town and 1-1 draw with second placed Rylands. The upswing in form has seen Phil Stafford's side rise up off the relegation zone and angle themselves away from the bottom of the table. Saturday's game will be a real test for them to see if they can keep showing their improvements.

Charnock come into the game on a run of form that has saw them win four out of their last six games, including two victories in a row. These results were both 4-2 away to Skelmersdale Town and 4-3 on the road at Northwich Victoria respectively.

This run of form has seen them rise into fourth place in the table as it stands and the team have really established themselves as a goal scoring side throughout the season. In particular, Carl Grimshaw and Jordan Darr will be trying their hardest to add to their already impressive combined 45 goal tally.

Providing the game goes ahead with the Coronavirus sweeping the nation, this game will be tough for the REMY and as previously stated, will be an indicator of how far the team has improved.
