Match Preview - Litherland REMYCA FC vs Ashton Athletic

Litherland REMYCA FC face a tough test tomorrow night as they take Ashton Athletic in the Extra Preliminary Round of the Emirates FA Cup.

The winner of the game will receive a walkover due to Droylsden pulling out of league and cup competition. This scenario means that Phil Stafford's team could reach their furthest point in the club's history if they manage to get the win.

Litherland come into the game on the back of a decent friendly run, with their most recent game against Maghull ending in a 2-0 win. Goals on the day came from George Donnelly and Colin McDonald.

Phil Stafford has managed to retain the majority of his players from the previous and will look to build on what was a promising run of results before the emergence of COVID-19.

Wednesday's game will be no easy task however, with Ashton showing great form before the voiding of the 2019/20 season. Before the stoppage they were within the top half of the table and looked a fearsome team to come up against.

This will be an exciting game for both teams and we would love to have you come and support the team. We will be operating on a 150 capacity limit for the game and it will be on a first come first serve basis.

If you are worried about COVID-19 precautions, our risk assessment and guides are available on the website for how we will prevent the spread of the virus at the LSP.

Gates open from 18:30 so come and get your ticket as soon as possible.

Tomorrow will be a great occasion. Up the REMY.
