It is with regret that we are not in a position to fulfil our Premier Division game against Squires Gate that was scheduled on Saturday. This is because the Liverpool City region was placed into the highest level of lock down and as a result we have suffered with the closure of our facility.
Further problems have become apparent, as we have struggled with ability to travel outside of our area as infections have risen and with the majority of our key volunteers being vulnerable, their safety is paramount to us as a team.
We have experienced two people involved in the club test positive for the virus and we want our club to be safe again to stop further risk of infection.
We are morally obliged to comply with the instructions to not travel outside of our area
and given our unease prior to this announcement, we do not feel comfortable to travel out of area at this time.
We would like to apologise to Squires Gate for postponing the game and giving them any inconveniences. We hope to fulfil the fixture at the next opportunity
We are desperate to continue playing football as soon as possible and hope you can bear with us at this difficult time.
