Litherland REMYCA FC are delighted to announce that our Under 9's team have picked Liverpool Swimming Academy to feature on their kits for the upcoming season.

The academy, based on Brighton Road in Waterloo help offer lessons to those suffering from neurological and physical disabilities, as well as facilities for everyday use.

The idea to promote the academy came after a former player offered to pay to sponsor the kit for the upcoming season. However, they chose for the club to pick a local hub to be promoted on the kit.

It was then discussed among the coaching team who should the team be involved with and after a discussion between coach Steve Smith and treasurer Sarah, it was decided that they would choose the academy, based on past experiences with their first class lessons that the facility offered.

Steve Smith discussed how delighted both parties were with the decision to partner. He said that the academy were "delighted to be a part of the club and by coming together they can raise awareness for both the team and the fantastic offerings that the Liverpool Swimming Academy can offer."

Kathy Wilson, Swimming Coordinator at the academy states that they "are committed to working with the community to provide quality services and an outstanding community resource".
