3. Big win for high scoring Renfrew

RENFREW Cricket Club romped to an impressive eight-wicket victory at home to Poloc in the SNCL Championship. Poloc could only set a target of 289 for seven from their allotted 50 overs. But skipper Sajid Majeed’s Renfrew side were in awesome form, posting an impressive total of 293 runs for the loss of two wickets.

Highlights for the KGV side were Zia Ul-Haq’s sizzling 105, while Mohammad Ramzan also reached impressive numbers – a solid 98.

And Pakistan player Ahmad Said also chipped into the scoring with a cracking 45. The result leaves Renfrew in third spot behind second-placed West Lothian and champions Dumfries,
