David served as a committee member for a number of years with the club filling roles as Club Chairman, Chairman of the Selection Committee and Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee. David spent many Saturday afternoons watching his son David junior playing for Renfrew from junior level right through to the first team.

David was also a bowler of some note for Victoria Cricket Club during his playing career and batted in the true style of a number eleven batsman. When David junior moved on to play his cricket with Kelburne Cricket Club, David continued to follow him from the sidelines. David would always greet you with a beaming smile and a warm handshake and will be greatly missed by all at Renfrew Cricket Club. Our thoughts go out to David's family at this very sad time.
