Retford say goodbye to Defender Aaron Pickersgill who has decided to move on from the Rail after being unable to secure a place in the squad this season.
In a message on Facebook, Aaron said “Well that’s it, 2 years at Retford has finally come to an end, winning the league last season was amazing and couldn’t wish to do it with a better group of players, new challenge awaits, all the best @retfordfootballclub.”
He leaves with the best wishes of Manager Chris Woodhead who said “Picko has been a loyal player over the last couple of seasons. He has struggled for game time over the last year but he was always ready to play when required. He moves on to Harworth colliery and I hope nothing but success for him at his new club.”
In his time with the Choughs, Picko racked up 40 appearances between 2017 and 2019 helping Retford win the Central Midlands League title during that time.
Everyone at Retford FC wishes Aaron all the best for the future and thank him for everything that he has done during his time with us.
