Retford FC Manager Chris Woodhead has two reasons to be cheerful this evening as he can confirm that midfielder Jake Scott will remain at the Rail ground for another month as he extends his loan spell from Mickleover Sports.

Also, it can be confirmed that striker Shay Evans-Booth will be returning after a spell at Thorne Colliery. Top scorer Shay left the club for Thorne Colliery where he made six appearances at the Welfare Ground but returns in time to be included in the squad against Brigg Town on Saturday afternoon.

Woodhead said “I’m absolutely delighted that Jake has extended for another month. He’s getting his fitness in now and we will see the best of Jake Scott this month.“

On Shays return, after speaking to the player Woodhead has said “Yes..... we had long conversations with Shay and I will not say what we discussed but he’s back at the club and he will settle back in and get back to what he’s good at. He's been back at training this evening and he looks like he’s never been away. We are happy to see him”

The Choughs are away at Brigg Town on Saturday, and it has just been confirmed that the away game at Ollerton Town that was postponed on 25th February will now be played on Tuesday 7th April 2020.
