Johnstown 1 Rhos Aelwyd 3

Johnstown started the stronger side in the mid-week derby and they found themselves 1-0 up after 5 minutes when a Johnstown player was fouled in the box. The penalty taker made no mistake and gave Jason Wynn no chance in the Rhos Aelwyd goal.
With Rhos finding themselves 1-0 down, they made sure that they didn't repeat the horror show against Penley and started to play the ball about on Johnstown's big pitch. Dan Harrison made many impressive overlaps throughout the game, opening up the Johnstown defence. It was a cross from the left hand side that found Darren Greenway in the box, he out muscled the Johnstown defender and his shot crept over the line. 1-1.
The second goal for Rhos came when Josh Griffiths played a ball into the box, the Johnstown keeper punch fell straight to James Haynes who smashed the ball into the empty goal. 2-1.
The third goal soon arrived when a delightful cross on the right hand side finding Dan Nash unmarked in the 6-yard box to head home. HT 3-1
There were no more goals in the second half but Rhos had much of the possession but couldn't make it count in the final third of the pitch. The objective of the match was to get back to winning ways after last weeks disappointment. This was achieved and now we move on to our next game versus Brynford.
