Penley 2 - 0 Rhos Aelwyd

This game was always going to be tough for Rhos against a decent Penley side. The first half was a close affair between the sides with both sides having chances to score. It was Penley who broke the deadlock though, when the Penley winger went past two players, passing the ball across the area for the Penley player to smash home.
Rhos came close through Adam Griffiths when his shot was just inches over the bar.
Carwyn Davies found himself with a one on one with the keeper, only to be brought down. Rhos didn't score from the resulting free-kick. HT 1-0
The second half belonged to Penley. They were dominant throughout and it wasn't long before they got the second when a cross was delivered superbly for the striker to head home. Rhos didn't give up and did work hard but they didn't have the same energy levels as they did in the previous game and look tired and jaded. There were no complaints about this result and Rhos have found themselves coming away from Penley without any points for the second consecutive season.
Rhos must go into Saturday's game and rectify the mistakes made in this game and get 3 points.
