Rhos Aelwyd 5-3 Rhydymwyn

Rhos were absolutely fantastic during the first half against Rhydymwyn. The side were totally untouchable with Rhos ensuring the ball moved quickly which opened up the Rhydymwyn midfield and defence. The first goal came from James Haynes. He was through on goal only for him to be dragged down by the last man outside the box, only for the ref to give a yellow card for the Rhydymwyn defender. From the resulting free kick, James Haynes bent the ball past the wall and into the corner of the goal.
Rhos were in full flow and it wasn't long for Haynes to make it 2-0, the ball was delivered to him and his trickery beat the defender and allowed him to slot the ball past the oncoming goalkeeper.
The third goal was absolute football when 4 passes split up the Rhydmwyn team and the cross came in for Daf Robertson to poke the ball into the goal.
The fourth and final goal of the half came from Jamie Rogers who beat 2 players and for him to place his shot into the top corner of the goal. In truth, Rhos could have been further ahead only for the goalkeeper to make some crucial saves. HT 4-0
In the opening five minutes of the second half James and Jamie both had decent chances to make it 5-0 only for the keeper to deny Haynes and Rogers missing the target. This seemed to spur Rhydymwyn on and within the next 15 minutes the scoreline had changed from 4-0 to 4-3. The players kept their heads and ensured the game was won when Man of the Match Daf Robertson had shot from just outside the box to see it palmed into the corner of the goal. 5-3
Rhos dealt with anything Rhydymwyn tried to throw at them and ensured that they took the 3 points to continue to progress in the league. This was an important 3 points for Rhos after the disappointment of last week and was a timely boost with Rhos travelling to rivals Cefn Rangers next week.
