Acrefair 1 - 8 Rhostyllen

Rhostyllen made it two wins from two with a midweek win at Acrefair . A Few changes from the team that started the opening game, with Rob Gibson replacing the injured Danny Wynne up front and Ashley Ryan replacing Mark Williams on the right.

The village started brightly and created numerous chances from both open play and set pieces but did not make the most of these opportunities. It was one way traffic as Rhostyllen laid siege to the Acrefair goal but a combination of good goalkeeping and poor finishing kept the scores levels. The deadlock was finally broken in the 18th minute when Rob Gibson slotted home after good work down the right from Ashley Ryan. In the 30th minute Steven Jones made it 2 with a neat finish after lobbing the ball over the keeper. Ashley Ryan then got a goal for himself to make it 3-0 in the 35th minute. There was time for Rhostyllen to add a fourth before the break when Lewis Clamp finally got on the score sheet with a good header.

More chances came at the start of the second half before striker Rob Gibson got his 2nd of the night on 56 minutes. Following this goal three changes were made with the returning Craig Spencer and Olie Allman replacing Lewis Clamp and Stu Chaloner . Richard Smith also replaced James Selly.

In the 68th minute substitute Craig Spencer marked his return from injury with a goal to make it 6-0. Disappointingly for Rhostyllen Acrefair then bagged a consolation goal to make it 6-1. The 6 goal margin was restored when the returning Olie Allman finished well after being one on one with the goalkeeper to make 7-1. The scoring was finished when Craig Spencer bagged again to make it 8-1.

In the end it was resounding victory for the village which could of been a victory by much higher margin. Still 2 wins from to and attention now turns to a game this weekend vs Lex in the Welsh Cup.
