Three out of three for the village

Rhostyllen made it 3 wins from three league games with a scoreline in the end became emphatic at the circle in Johnstown.

The away team started the game brightly and created a couple of chances which came to nothing. They eventually took the lead in 17th minute when a fantastic cross from centre back Stu Chaloner was finished off nicely from Steven Jones. Ashley Ryan then made it 2-0 after nice link up play from Steven Jones and Olie Allman on 23 minutes. After 27 minutes it was 3-0 to the away team after Olie Allman held off his marker to finish on the slide and past the goalkeeper.

A substitution was then forced upon the village when Richard Smith was involved in a heavy challenge on his ankle. Ricky Williams came on for Richard to make his debut for the first team.

Half time
Johnstown 0- 3 Rhostyllen

The second half started and the message from the management was clear - keep the same intensity and the next goal is vital. A second change was forced upon Rhostyllen when Centre Back Stu Chaloner came off with a swollen knee. Young Michael Jones came on at CB to make his own debut for the first team. The forced changes seemed to disrupt the village's play and the game became slow and lethargic, This suited the home team and they began to put pressure on, they scored soon after when a looped effort from the corner of the box found its way over Tom Ritoul and into the net. Encouraged by this goal the home team became the better team and created chances with their long ball, The village were struggling to get going and became frustrated. Then in the 87th minute spurred on by this frustration Kevin Roberts picked up a bouncing ball in midfield and volleyed home an unstoppable shot from 25 yards. This came as a relief for the village who then made it 5-1 when Ricky Williams turned in a lose ball after a cross from his brother Alex Williams.

The full time whistle went and another 3 points were on the board. Not the best of performances from the village but a wins a win.

Rhostyllen are now the only team in the division with a 100% record, Next up a trip up the coast to play Point of Ayr!
