Data laws are changing. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force on 25 May 2018 and represents a reshaping of the data protection landscape.

In simple terms, GDPR will help protect the personal data of those involved in rugby by requiring better governance and transparency. Organisations holding personal data, including constituent bodies, referee societies and clubs, will need to give more information to people about what they do with those people’s data, why, and for how long.

Richmondshire RUFC have reviewed Policies and Practices relating to data. These are available to be viewed in paper form at the Club and are also available in the Official Documents section of the Documents on this Website.

The sports constituent body, England RFU, also has similar accessible via their website www.englandrugby.com.

Data Collection
All data collected by official membership forms and RFU Player Registration forms is used only by officials of the club and the England RFU Game Management System (GMS). This is not shared with third parties and we do not process any data other than share it with the GMS. Player Registration forms are shredded after 12 months.

The Club adhere to the rights of all individuals over all the data we have on them. The Club can also allow an individual access to all data that we have on that individual.
