After a crushing defeat last week, we were determined not to get battered again. Instead we wanted to be the ones doing the battering.

We had a team average of 6 hours sleep, and so the 11:30 start was not ideal. However we did manage good quick passes and we worked well from the defence to the forwards.

We had a fighting spirit and our determination was shown when we scored a great team goal. The build up was brilliant yet the execution was deemed questionable. We kept our intensity high and worked the ball from Katie to Laura to Amy to Tess to Emily into the right corner. Top quality team goal that Harpreet would be proud of #makingHarpreetproud !!

2-0 up we then secured 2 short corners. The first with a beautifully timed pass from Katie to Kate at the top of the D and then a flick onto the backboard. The second was another strike by Kate and a struggle on the line but a struggle well worth it- with Tess taking us up to 4-0.

The oppo scraped one back off the counter but overall a tip top performance from the ladies!! Player was a three way tie between Emily, Laura and Bernice, and DOTD was Emily for her stick falling apart before the game started. Such a good game for us as a team and we can take many positives from it to next week. ???
