1. Reserves 2013/2014

Reserves 2013/14

The 2013/14 Season proved to be an excellent season for the club.

The 1st Team finished 3rd in Welsh League Divison 3 behind Barry Town United and Llanwern.  With the strength of the division, this was an exceptional effort from all those playersand management involved, and we look forward to competing in Division 2 next season.

After withdrawing from the Reserve league last season, it was encouraging to see th ereserves Under Dai Howells, Martin Ingram and Mike Bainton guide the reserves to 5th.  And but for a few results that didn't go their way and a poor middle section of the season could have been right in the mix.  Very encoraging for next season.

Tony Wallis finished the year as the top goalscorer in Gwent for Welsh League Clubs (possibly the whole Welsh League) with 32 goals, while James Parry and Muno Kuwana were capped by the Welsh Boys and Girls Clubs

Abertillery Bluebirds deducted 3 points
Newport YMCA deducted 3 points
