Cobras Open Age turn performance around at Blackpool

After last week's disappointment, Cobras managed to get a team together with the help from Reece Cole and Fred Rauqe Bau. Things didn't start as we planned with traffic causing a few player to arrive late but that didn't dampen the team spirit's and Chris Lightfoot stepped into the halfs. The first 10 minutes saw the Cobras on the back foot and the lads were down 12-0.
They never gave up and kept going at it with hard running from Tom Morris and Chris Lynch setting the mark. Ieuan Higgs came on after arriving late and score a quick try with his first touch of the ball and successfully converted. Half time score 12-6.
At half time a tactical change saw Andy Reid come on to replace Dylan O'Shea in the halfs. The second half started as the first half finished with the lads on top and the Cobras running the show and Chris Lynch crashing over to score a try, successfully converted. Cobras kept the pressure on with the pack unstoppable and running the game. With Blackpool on the back foot and not being able to keep up with play and giving a few penalties away Cobras kept the pressure on and scored again through Fred and made the conversion.

Straight from the second half kick off, Cobras started to play some expansive rugby. Getting getting away from the ruck with awesome hands from Andy Reid, the pass to Ieuan saw him crossing over for his second that he also successfully converted. After that Cobras took the foot off the gas and let Blackpool go over twice to see them get back into the game but only converting 1 of the 2 kicks. Score was at 22-24 to Cobras. Still on the back foot, the defence kept Blackpool out and Cobras won a penalty that Ieuan successful converted to make it 22-26 to Cobras for the first win of the season.
