Rockleaze Rangers FC

Each September we welcome a new Under 6 team (School Year 1) and their parents/carers into Rockleaze Rangers FC. Sessions run from 10am at Coombe Dingle Sports Complex, on a grass surface. We start out by providing hands-on support and coaching education from our vastly experienced and excellent coaches James Dillon and Graham Burley. This is provided for the first few weeks until parents/carers are ready to start running the team themselves.

The club organise and pay for DBS checks for anyone who gets involved in coaching the team, and longer term for those coaches interested the club also pay for the Football Association qualification, now called "Introduction to Coaching Football". All equipment such as footballs, goals, bibs and cones are provided, budding footballers just need a pair of boots and shinpads.

We operate a system of giving preference for younger siblings of existing Rockleaze Rangers players followed by a waiting list which is collated from the email enquiries, and we usually confirm whether your child has successfully gained a place in the squad in March. Siblings often account for between 3-5 players which also means that some parents are already familiar with the rigours of Saturday morning football! Total target squad size is 28.
