Rockpoint got back to where we left off before lockdown. And this match was always going to be an emotional one after the sad passing of kev.

We would like to say a big thank you to the Vinyard for there kind presentation of flowers to kevs wife kath and also jasga and the Harbour fc for taking part in a minutes applause before their game.
Once the whistle was blown though rockpoint came out of the blocks and never really gave the Vinyard a chance to get a foothold in the game.
1 nil was soon the score as yet another free kick was dispatched by dava bowe into the bottom left corner 1-0.
that scoreline was soon doubled as some great one touch football saw Josh through on goal and he slipped it under the keeper to make it 2-0.
it wasn't long before stu made it 3 with a clinical finish giving the keeper no chance. 3-0.
Stu soon doubled his tally just before halftime as he pounced on a cross to divert the ball into the net .4-0.
Vinyard finally got reward for their effort and managed to grab a goal back on the half 4-1. halftime.

the second half kicked of and rockpoint seemed to not be able to find the same rhythm as the first half and for 10 minutes Vinyard pressed forward sensing this,Rockpoint however weathered this period without conceding and managed to grab a 5th goal as some nice football resulted in stu powering a header past the keeper to complete his hat-trick 5-1.
Vinyard to their credit kept on going and managed to grab a 2nd goal against the run of play 5-2. full time and job done by rockpoint, that was for you kev, we miss you mate and will keep pushing for the success you said we had the potential to get .
