One of the main events of the Rolls-Royce RFC Calendar is the Rolls-Royce Elliott Sevens tournament. This traditionally takes places on the third Saturday in May. Historically this has been an intramural competition between Rolls-Royce sites, but more recently has become a return-to-rugby tournament to encourage players to get back into the game. The day includes many matches of fun, social rugby, together with a BBQ and fully stocked bar. The now legendary after-party allows players and supporters to celebrate a great day of rugby.
The standard of the rugby is very social. This is an ideal opportunity for a return to rugby for those who have been out of the game for a while. Rolls-Royce RFC puts on four training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday in the two weeks leading up to the tournament. The sessions are run by our qualified coaches, and cater for all skill levels; complete beginner to regular player.
The 2020 tournament will take place on Saturday the 16th of May. If you are looking to enter or would like more information, contact: RollsRoyceRFC@outlook.com.
(Don’t worry if you don’t have a team – you can enter as an individual and we’ll match you into a team; there will be plenty of time to get to know your team through the four training sessions in the weeks leading up to the tournament)
