Players, parents, spectators and club volunteers

Following the update we posted last Wednesday (21st), see here, we can now update you further.

Firstly can we please remind all spectators that under Tier 3 rules you must remain in your household group or support bubble, 2m social distancing should be maintained otherwise.

All coaching sessions will continue:
Tuesday 19:00-20:00 - Active Hockey
Wednesday 19:00-20:00 - Back2Hockey
Thursday 18:30-21:00 - Senior coaching and academy
Sunday 10:00-12:00 - Youth Coaching

For Youth Members (under 18) travel is not restricted. Youth hockey can continue including travel outside South Yorkshire for games/tournaments and travel into South Yorkshire for Coaching for any of our members that live outside it. The first Youth tournaments and fixtures start very soon and we are pleased to be hosting some of these.

Due to the large numbers we have seen at Sunday Youth coaching sessions the booking form will continue to be required during November to allow us to ensure groups remain under 30.
The booking form can be found here. The sessions will continue to be split as follows:

  • 10.00 - 11.45am U14/U16 Boys and Girls
  • 10.15 - 12.00pm U10/U12 Boys and Girls
  • 10.30 - 11.30am Otters

Please help us by arriving at the start of your child's session time, not early.

For seniors hockey; the league reps and club fixture secretaries including our own Ricky Benton have worked tirelessly since the Tier 3 announcement to amend fixtures so that league hockey can continue against other SY teams in each league. Where this isn't possible or where no SY teams are in a league (only affects Ladies 1) friendlies will be arranged. Captains will communicate out games for the next four weeks as soon as possible.
