This is an important update on Covid-19 for all RHC Players, volunteers and spectators. As I write this I have just added the 12th RHC member to our tracker of people that have had to isolate due to the virus, thankfully few are positive but this must serve as a warning to us all that the virus is very real and has not gone away.
Whilst we don't encourage spectators in the current circumstances we do get some for most sessions. Recently Sheffield Hallam University have raised a concern on spectators not social distancing in maximum groups of 6 at the hockey pitch. We need to take this a warning and be stricter with ourselves as failure to do so will result in a ban on any spectators, something that other clubs have had to do but we want to avoid.
On the whole our players have followed the rules we have introduced very well. However, social distancing when the ball is not in play, during both games and coaching sessions is where we can and need to improve, this needs to become more instinctive for us all. Below is a summary on player requirements:
Any concerns relating to the above or other Covid-19 related issues should be brought to my attention asap.
Many thanks
